Central European Congress on Food - Date: 23-26 May 2012

Central European Congress on Food (CEFood) is a as biennial congress, incepted in 2002 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, that gathers the representatives of universities and research institutes, but also food producers and distributors, to promote research, development, innovation and education within food science and technology.

After five successfully executed CEFood Congresses in Slovenia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovakia, the 6th CEFood Congress will be held in Novi Sad, capital of the northern Serbian province featured with favourable natural conditions for agricultural production, and therefore well developed food industry. 6th CEFood will be held from 23rd to 26th May 2012.

6th Central European Congress on Food will accentuate novel and traditional technologies for competitive and safe food products for European and global market. Program of this CEFood Congress will be focused on latest progress in fundamental and applied food science, research and development, innovative technology, food ingredients, novel trends in nutrition and health, functional and bioactive food, food engineering, food safety and quality and food and feed market, highlighting latest results of food and feed research in Europe.

6th CEFood Congress is jointly organized by the Faculty of Agriculture from Belgrade, Institute of Food Technology in Novi Sad, Serbian Association of Food Technologists, Faculty of Technology Novi Sad and Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy from Belgrade, and supported by EFFoST and IUFoST.
